<copy>Forest Forge and I go back to a performance of Jane and The Dragon in Fordingbridge Town Hall. A revelation! That was probably twenty years ago as the small children I took are now earning their own livings. I was hooked by the sheer fun and energy of the show, and various performances since then seem to have punctuated the changes in my life, from busy general practitioner and stage struck mother to local councillor. Ten years ago I spent a couple of years as a member of the Nuffield Theatres New Writers group which gave me a deeper insight into the workings of theatre, and an increased respect for anyone associated with live drama. So when I was asked to become a member of the Forest Forge Board I danced round the kitchen!

Mention Forest Forge and locals immediately remember a particular show they cherish, and offer suggestions for the company’s direction. This is a greatly loved and valued Forest institution, and believe me, sitting on the Board is a responsibility that I take extremely seriously.</copy>
