Creative Learning is at the core of Forest Forge’s work both in terms of the way we work and also who we reach out and engage with.
The Creative Learning programme has three strands:
EDUCATION
COMMUNITY
YOUTH THEATRE
Our Creative learning strand of work converges with the main Touring programme in terms of responding, exploring and developing each project to its full potential. We work in both the formal and informal sectors and from primary upwards.
EDUCATION
This is our work in Schools and Colleges. We have an Education menu that goes out to these establishments each school year that teachers can choose from and book workshops. We also offer residencies for certain projects as well as discrete projects for individual places for example our Elevate programme for work experience.
COMMUNITY
This is the work in communities outside of formal education and includes life-long learning. Our Creative Learning Team work with groups of any age, culture and ability from around the region to explore a cross art form approach to theatre...
YOUTH THEATRE
Forest Forge’s Youth Theatre has 125 participants from the ages of 6 – 19 who meet on a regular basis and each year each group has their own production. The Youth Theatre has an open access policy and so anyone can join as long as there is a space for him or her to do so....
